Why is the Q2 Energy System SAFE to
use?
The Q2 Energy System
has been designed and constructed with your utmost safety in
mind. Apart from being constructed to a very high Australian
Medical standard the System features many safety aspects.
While the System
plugs into your wall and is powered by AC (Alternating
Current) it only delivers a DC (Direct Current) power to your
bathtub. The DC output is only about 24volts.
The System has been
tested by Australian Government Testing Facilities to ensure
it complies with both electrical and Medical Standards.
Being built to the
Medical Standard ensures a number of safety aspects such as
fuse protection on both the active and the neutral power
cables to the System.

The fuse protection
ensures that you are protected even if the power spikes in
your local supply.
A thermally operated
circuit breaker also protects the user from possible faults or
overloads (should any ever occur).
Special transformer
Design for Safety
The Double bobbin
construction gives double insulation between the primary and
secondary windings for safety. Using this construction method
the AC stays on the AC side of the circuitry. The windings are
flash tested to 4000 volts. As you can see from the cut away
photo of the transformer in your System both the primary and
the secondary windings are well separated and insulated for
safety.

What this means to
you is that there is no direct electrical connection from the
mains supply to the output. This also means that
there is no means for possible sparks to reach the output or
you, even if a fault occurred within the transformer you are
still safe.
